Children were so excited with their new shoes. Over 80 homeless men and women came into one of our life-changing programs. So many of our most neediest of families and those who are currently homeless were so grateful that many agencies came together in one stop and they have a chance to find out about jobs. “ The homeless people living on the streets and those living in our program need to know that people still care and there is hope for a brighter future. Thousands of struggling men, women, and children had a great day of fun and inspiration. The best part of Christmas in July was that 60 men and women made the decision to get off the streets and enter into one of our life-changing programs. Our efforts have created a superior level of trust amongst homeless residents that has enabled us to successfully help thousands of people safely exit homelessness. is the leading agency providing outreach and housing services to Broward County, Florida’s homeless residents. Over 300 hair cuts were given at all 3 campuses. Programs offered by Miami Rescue Mission Broward Outreach Centers serving Pompano Beach, FL to help with social needs, including Broward Outreach Centers. The TaskForce Fore Ending Homelessness, Inc. Beauty Schools of America came with nearly 20 barbers to cut hair for men and women. PriceSmart, TJMaxx, and several other corporations and individuals came together and provided shoes for the outreach. So many generous people and companies came together to make the outreach memorable. Representatives spoke with individuals and made appointments for possible future jobs as well as offering other forms of help.Īgencies such as: Urban League, Career Resources commonly known as Workforce One, HOPE, Inc (Housing Opportunity Project for Excellence), Miami-Dade Office of the State Attorney, Legal Services of Miami, Transition, Inc, Safe-Link, Opportunity Sacred Trust, and Veterans Administration were there to offer additional information

Over 3,000 meals were served, plus clothing and MISSION HOPE bags filled with hygiene items were distributed to all adults.Įach campus held its own career fair and service agencies were invited to provide information about jobs and other community services to those in need. The Miami and Broward Centers have a tradition to combine the Themes of Independence Day and Christmas into a theme of INDEPEDENCE for the Homeless and Needy. On Friday, July 28th,the Mami Rescue Mission/Broward Outreach Centers, with the help of nearly 500 volunteers, provided entertainment, and gave out nearly 700 new sneakers that were gift wrapped to needy children.
